Two house-breakers caught red-handed in the act in Byramji Town

Nagpur: Two house-breakers were caught red-handed by the house owner in Byramji Town of Sadar police jurisdiction on Sunday night. The accused burglars attacked the house owner in order to escape but were overpowered and handed over to cops.

The complainant, Mustafa Ali Shabbir Hasanji (41), resident of Plot No. 18, NMV Layout, Byramji Town, had gone out by locking his house on Sunday. However, when he returned home around 11 pm, he spotted the two accused burglars namely Vikas Vinod Gajbhiye (25), resident of Timki, Bhankheda and Pankaj Ratanlal Meshram (28), resident of Gayatrinagar, Mankapur, trying to steal valuables. The two accused had entered Mustafa’s house by breaking open rear door lock. As the two burglars saw Mustafa, they attacked and injured him. But Mustafa anyhow overpowered the house-breakers and handed them over to police.

Sadar police constable Gautam Shende booked the two accused burglars Vikas Gajbhiye and Pankaj Meshram under Sections 459, 34 of the IPC and placed them under arrest. Further probe is underway.
