Two goons demand Rs 50 lakh as extortion money from Shewalkar Developers; booked

The reputed builder of the city, Shewalkar Developers Limited, faced a shaky situation when two criminals demanded extortion money from the realtor. The Sadar police have booked the two accused and searching for them.

The Shewalkar Developers Limited has undertaken construction of a building at House No. 410, Mohan Nagar, Nagpur. While the construction was going on the two accused Anand Madanmohan Jaiswal and his unidentified accomplice reached the site on 9.2.15. At that time, another builder Shabbir Ahmed Khan (54), resident of 34, Mansarovar Colony, Mankapur, Nagpur, was overlooking the construction. The two accused doled out a threat to Shabbir and demanded that if the construction was to be continued the builder will have to give one flat to them or Rs 50 lakh as extortion money. Shabbir did not budge on the extortion demand of the two accused, instead, lodged a complaint with Sadar Police Station in this connection.

Sadar API Gaja, acting on the complaint, registered an offence against the two accused Anand Madanmohan Jaiswal and his unidentified accomplice under Sections 387, 34 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
