Nagpur: In a robbery, a la Bollywood filmy style, a middle-aged man and his three other accomplices looted two friends of gold chains worth Rs 2 lakh in a running car on Monday. The loot occurred in the name of money deal. The two friends were also beaten up severely and deserted at a secluded place.
The accused Bhalchandra Laxman Dhote (48), resident of Plot No. 17 S, Bharat Nagar, Amravati Road, Nagpur and his three other unidentified accomplices slyly reached the house of Srinivasan Rajgopalan (48), resident of Flat No. 301, Aditya Apartment, Hill Top, Nagpur and told him that they are returning the money taken from Srinivasan and hid his friend. With these assuring words, the four accused asked Srinivasan and his friend to sit in a white-coloured Duster car. Once seated, the accused Bhalchandra and others drove the car to an undisclosed destination. The four accused alter thrashed Srinivasan and his friend black and blue and also snatched three gold chains from them. The gold chains valued at Rs 2,05,000. Thereafter, the hassled and looted friends were dropped at a deserted place. Srinivasan and his friend anyhow reached Ambazari Police Station and registered a case against the four accused.
PSI Lakde, acting on the complaint, has booked the accused Bhalchandra Laxman Dhote and his three accomplices under Sections 394, 506(B), 34 of IPC and launched a search to nab them.
