Two con men drug young boy, relieve him of valuables near Railway Station

Nagpur: Eating a donut offered by unknown persons proved costly for a young boy as the stuff knocked him unconscious and robbing of valuables worth over Rs 30,000. However, the accused tricksters have been arrested within no time.

The victim Chandrashekhar Nimmuram Sahare (23), working at Bhole Petrol Pump, Dharampeth, was enjoying tea at Railway Parcel Office Gate, Santra Market. At the same time, two unknown con men approached him and offered drug-laced donut to him. Unsuspecting any foul play in the offer, Chandrashekhar ate the donut. However, after sometime, the drug-laced stuff started showing its effect and knocked Chandrashekhar unconscious on the spot.

Soon, the two tricksters relieved the drugged Chandrashekhar of his Rs 1300 cash, a laptop, blood pressure machine, another health product collectively worth Rs 30,500 and fled the spot. After gaining consciousness, Chandrashekhar found his valuables missing. He rushed to Ganeshpeth Police Station and registered a case in this regard.

Acting on the complaint, cops swung into action and traced the two accused conmen within the area of crime and apprehended them with the help of description given by Chandrashekhar. The arrested accused have been identified as Suresh Shyamlal Khanchandani (55), resident of Housing Board Colony, Jaripatka and Ramesh Shyam Yadav (54), resident of Binaki Mangalwari.
