Two chain-snatching cases in separate incidents

Nagpur News: Two chain-snatching incidents were registered under Pratap Nagar and Dhantoli Police Station on Tuesday night. In the first incident, Sangita Raju Kopulwar (43), a resident of Trisharan Housing Society, Plot No. 23/32, Sindhu Apartment, Flat No. 2028, was going to Gokulpeth with her husband on his bike (MH 30 7298) on Tuesday night. Police said that two mobike-borne youths suddenly came behind near near Mangalwari Square, in front of a wine shop and the pillion snatched her mangalsutra worth Rs 45,000. Sangita lodged a complaint with Pratap Nagar Police Station. Cops registered an offence under Sections 392 and 34 of the IPC, informed PSI Dhoble.

In another incident, two unidentified mobike-borne youths snatched a gold chain under Dhantoli Police Station area. According to information, Neha Milind Moon (26), a resident of Kanphade Nagar, near Gaikwad’s house, was going to Dhantoli on her Pleasure (MH 31 DX 9048). Near RPTS road, two unidentified mobike-borne youths came from behind and snatched her gold chain worth Rs 10,000. Before Neha could raise an alarm, the goons fled away. Neha lodged a complaint with Dhantoli police Station and cops registered an offence under Sections 392 and 34 of the IPC against the unidentified youths. Further investigations are under way in both the cases.
