Two booked for threatening middle-aged man to kill

Nagpur News: Kotwali police booked two youths for threatening to kill a 43-year-old man, a resident of Ganesh Nagar on Sunday evening.

The complainant Rajesh Tambe works at Gangabai ghat. According to the complainant, the drunk accused Dheeraj Dada Malik (22), and Namo Meshram (23), both residents of Sweeper Colony, Juni Mangalwari, Lakadganj, were playing with the ashes of the recently burned dead body. Tambe stopped the two, but they threatened to kill him and asked to pay Rs 20,000 to them every month to continue working in the place. When Tambe protested, the two took out sharp weapons and again threatened him.

On the complaint of Tambe, Kotawali police registered an offence under Sections 387, 323, 294, and 34 of the IPC. Police have started to search for the accused.

It is to be noted that Sitabuldi Police declared names of the same accused in connection with an life-threatening attack on a youth in front of Railway Station. While Dheeraj was arrested by Sitabuldi Police, Namo Mehram is still at large. Further investigations are under way.
