Nagpur News : Yashodhara Nagar police arrested two persons while booked others for attacking a middle-aged man over old rivalry and damaged a car of victim’s friend on Tuesday night. The victim sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment in a hospital. However, later cops also registered a counter case against the earlier victim for attacking a man.
Cops have identified the accused as Manoj Chandanbali Choubey (47), a resident of Dhammanand Nagar, Kamptee Road; Nitin Shankarrao Barbatkar (30), a resident of Pauni layout, Kamptee while others are yet to be identified. As per information, the accused along with their accomplices attacked Dinesh Mahadevrao Agase (35), a resident of Yashodhara Nagar with sharp-aged weapons over some old rivalry and injured him seriously. The accused then damaged the glasses of a Scorpio car owned by Dinesh’s friend.
Thus, Yashodhara Nagar police registered an offence under Sections 324, 323, 143, 147, 148, 149, 427 read with sub section 4+25 of Arms Act, 37 (1), and 135 of Motor Vehicle Act and arrested Manoj and Nitin.
At the outset, Yashodhara Nagar police registered a counter report which said that Dinesh Mahadevrao Agase along with his accomplices attacked Manoj Chandrabali Choubey and thrashed him and attacked him. Dinesh injured Manoj with a sharp-edged weapon. Yashoshara police have registered an offence under Sections 323, 323, 143, 147, 148, and 149 of the IPC against Dinesh and his accomplices. Further investigations are under way.
