Two arrested for mobile theft, bike lifting in Imamwada

Nagpur: In a significant action against the increasing incidents of mobile theft and bike lifting, Imamwada police on Tuesday arrested two men and solved 12 of such cases.

Besides four vehicles and seven mobiles phones, cops recovered valuables worth Rs 2.14 lakh from the possession of two accused, identified as Mehboob alias Yusuf Sheikh (42), a resident of Dharampeth and Vishal Shankar Fulmali (35), a resident of Gaddigodam.

Addressing a press conference, DCP Zone 4, Rajtilak Raushan told media that, the burglary at SME Wine Shop near Medical Square which had taken place in the month of April led to the breakthrough in this case.

In the intervening night of April 20 and 21, some unidentified men sneaked inside SME Wine Shop through the cooler ducting and decamped with cash Rs 65,000. During the investigation, cops received secret information about involvement of the accused Mehboob and Vishal. Acting swiftly on the tip off, a team of Imamwada police comprising PI M M Salunke, PSI N A Patwadkar, Constables Anant Burde, Sharad Chauhan, Balu Giri, Kishor Yeul trailed the accused and succeeded in nabbing them.

The action was supervised under the guidance of DCP Zone 4 Rajtilak Raushan, ACP Sakkardara Division Dhapovkar.
