Nagpur: The Spanco Nagpur Discom Ltd (SNDL), the power supply franchisee that played truant with hundreds of consumers by its shabby working style, could breathe easy as the Fact Finding Committee has given a “clean chit” to the company, it is learnt.

The Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, taking serious view of a flood of complaints from hassled consumers against SNDL, had recently constituted a two-member Fact Finding Committee headed by MSEB Holding Company Director R B Goyanka and Gauri Chandrayan. The Committee went into hundreds of complaints and also reviewed the working of SNDL. During its scrutiny, the panel did find certain shortcomings in the affairs of SNDL.

Subsequently, the Mahavitaran (MSEDCL) had issued notices to the franchisee. Thereafter, the SNDL immediately got rid of some of the shortcomings and also sought time to set the house in order. The SNDL, in the meanwhile, was also directed to submit its compliance report to the Fact Finding Committee which it did in a specific period.

It is learnt reliably that the Director Goyanka has reportedly expressed his satisfaction over the report submitted by SNDL. Now, the report would be sent to Managing Director of MSEDCL soon and on the basis of the report, a certificate will be issued to SNDL.
