Tricksters dupe man of Rs 25,000

Nagpur News : Dhantoli Police arrested one and booked two for duping a man of Rs 25,000 by claiming themselves as Ayurvedic doctors. According to police, accused Swati Thakur (between 30 to 35), Shankar Pravin Ankushe (25), a resident of Jagnade Square and an unidentified middle-aged man told the complainant Praful Gajanan Kullarkar, a native of Mohada, Bhandara, that they sell Ayurvedic medicines to cure cancer.

The accused promised Kullarkar to give a handsome commission if he buys the medicines from them. Kullarkar then bought medicines worth Rs 25,000 from them. But soon he realized that the medicines he bought were not Ayurvedic. He also found out that the accused were not Ayurvedic experts as they pretended themselves to be.

Kullarkar lodged a complaint against the three accused with Dhantoli Police Station. Acting on the complaint, cops arrested Shankar Ankushe while search for Swati and the unidentified man is still on. Cops registered an offence of forgery against the accused under Sections 419, 420, 34 and 120 (b) of the IPC, informed PI Shende. Further investigations are under way.
