Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri jeweller, 2 others booked for usurping man’s gold worth Rs 47 lakh

Nagpur: Sadar police have booked three persons including a renowned jeweller on the charges of duping an elderly man by way of usurping his gold worth Rs 47 lakh the fraudulent manner.

The complainant Dhanraj Tulshiram Khaparde (60), resident of Swami Colony, Akarnagar, Katol Road, told police that he had deposited gold bars and coins worth Rs 46,28,400 with Tribhuvandas Bhimji Zaveri & Private Limited, Poonam Chambers, Byramji Town, under various schemes.

However, the accused Hemant Brijlal alias Vajubhai Zaveri, resident of Headquarters, Nirmal Lifetime LBS, Mulund, Mumbai, Amrut Madhavji Chavalagor (60) of Om Satyam Exortica, B Wing, Flat No 304/305, Hazaripahad, Nagpur and Sunil Chatre of Zaveri & Sons Group Pvt Ltd, Poonam Chambers, Byramji Town, in a well planned conspiracy, did not pay the gold deposit interest to Dhanraj Khaparde and even usurped his entire gold in a fraudulent manner.

Based on the complaint of Dhanraj Khaparde, Sadar PSI V M Matre has booked the three accused under sections 406, 34 of IPC and launched an in-depth investigation into the matter.
