“Tree Plantation Program” celebrates in Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi College of Engineering

Tree Plantation
Nagpur: Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi College of Engineering, organized a Tree Plantation Program event under Vanmahotsav Program on 7th July 2017 in PIGCE college campus- Planted many benefiting plants such as Azadirachta indica (Neem), Delonix regia (Gulmohar) and Ficus religiosa (Pipal).

On this occasion, explaining the importance of Plants and its environmental value Dr. R. V. Kshirsagar, Principal PIGCE shared his thoughts saying “One of the best comfort we can give future generations are trees”. Through this he meant “ Don’t complain about heat plant a tree” it is invaluable gift which embodies unity of nature and humans. It is not about action but to discover the sense of oneness with nature. To inculcate the care of nature and healthy lifestyle PIGCE promoted the practice of Plantation and promise of care.

Event co-ordinator Prof. U. P. Akare excecuted the programme. Under the adroit guidance of Dr. R.. V. Kshirsagar, Principal PIGCE the faculty members Prof. R. R. Moon, Prof. A. D. Choudhari, Prof. A. S. Pande, Prof. P. Kamble, Prof. S Thawari, Prof. P. Chauhan, Prof. M. Rajput, Prof. S. Raipure and all NSS students and co-ordinators organized the program diligently to make it a grand success.
