Traffic cops take out bike rally with a message

Nagpur: The City Traffic Police Department on Wednesday took out a motorcycle rally to mark “Road Safety Week” being observed from January 9 to 23. The rally, started from Kasturchand Park, covered major roads in various areas and culminated back at KP Grounds.

The motorcycle rally by traffic cops was aimed at spreading a message among citizens to follow traffic rules religiously. The event was also participated by employees of Hero Motors and Domino’s Pizza. The 300-strong rally was flagged off by DCP (Traffic) Smarthna Patil. Radio Jocky Lucky of Radio Mirchi conducted the event in his own style.

The participating traffic cops were also put to a test. The RJ Lucky posed five questions regarding traffic rules. Winners with right answers were awarded five helmets by Hero Motors as prize.

The event was attended by Police Inspectors of all Traffic Chambers and citizens in large number.
