Three robbed in separate incidents

Nagpur News: Three people were robbed of their gold valuables worth Rs 1.10 lakh in separate incidents in the last 24 hours.

On Monday evening, Suyog Nagar, resident Sunanda FIrkey, 42, was riding pillion on her daughter’s scooter when two youths, on a speeding bike, snatched away gold ornament worth Rs 44,000. Firkey reported the matter to Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station.

At Kalamna, two youths on bike stopped victim Divesh Patel, 22, his way from Kalamna market near Bharat Nagar and robbed gold chain worth Rs 48,000 at knife point. Patel, a resident of Quetta Colony was returning home from his shop when the incident took place. Police have registered a case against the unidentified accused.

On Tuesday morning, chain-snatchers robbed gold mangalsutra worth Rs 20,000 from morning walker in Jaripatka. Lila Bansod, 59, was having a walk with her husband Pandari, 79, when two youths came on bike and decamped with ornaments.
