The recruitment exam took place at Yashwantrao Chavan College of Engineering and Datta Meghe Medical College in Wanadongri, Hingna Road. The day before the exam, a briefing was conducted for all officials and staff assigned to oversee the exam, stressing the importance of preventing malpractice. However, the three suspended officers allegedly assisted candidates during the exam.

The cheating was uncovered when CCTV footage from the exam room, where the three officers were assigned as supervisors and assistants, showed candidates collaborating during the test. The Police Commissioner, Ravindra Singal, took immediate action, ordering the suspension of the involved officers for three months. They have been sent to police headquarters, and any attempt by the suspended personnel to take up private employment during this period will result in severe consequences.

This incident has not only disrupted the recruitment process but also cast a shadow over the credibility of the entire examination.
