Three convicted for lifer in businessman Dharma Nikose murder case

Nagpur News : District and Additional Session Judge S G Mehre on Thursday sentenced three persons to life imprisonment after holding them guilty in the 2009 murder case of businessman Dharma Nikose in Khaperkheda.

Nikose was killed by his business partners over business rivalry near Bina railway crossing on October 30. Vilas Khurge, a resident of Rana Pratap Nagar, Sanjay Abhyankar of Bhanegaon and Aakrosh Khapre has been convicted under section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for killing Nikose. The court sentenced trio to life imprisonment.

Nikose owned a business of supplying building construction materials. Earlier, Abhyankar and Khapre were his business partners. Later, Nikose ended his partnership with them when he learnt about their involvement in duping the company by illegal sale of sand sacks. Since then, Abhyankar and Khapre had made plans with another businessman Khurge to kill Nikose.

On October 30, all three accused stabbed Nikose to death while he was chatting wit his friends near Bina railway crossing.
