Nagpur: Under the jurisdictions of different police stations, as many as three deaths have been registered as accidental deaths. In one that occurred under the jurisdiction of Ajani police station, when deceased Milind Kamble, 48, resident of Kailash Nagar, was sleeping on the floor of his house, a ‘diya’ (burning lamp) fell down and his clothes caught fire. He was burnt so badly that when he was rushed to Govt Medical College and Hospital for treatment, he was declared dead there.
In another incident under the jurisdiction of MIDC police station, a 11-month old child, Riyashu, of complainant Vidya Bhattkar, residing on rent in the house of Bankar family at Sanjay Nagar, Hingna Road, slipped off his bed and suffered serious injury. He was admitted at Ward No. 34 of Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Digdoh for treatment where he died during treatment.
In the third incident, Mukhtar Baba Miyan Sheikh Bablu, 42, resident of Siraspeth Telipura, under the jurisdiction of Imambada police station, slipped off the stairs of the first floor his house and became seriously injured. He was rushed to Govt Medical College Hospital for treatment where he died.
