Thousands of devotees visit Tajbagh for Urs celebration

The 93rd annual Tajuddin Auliya Urs is being celebrated at Tajbagh shrine with the mark of religious harmony and unity in diversity. Thousands of devotees from far off places such as Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Western Maharashtra, Karnataka and other places are pouring in at Tajbagh shrine in reverence and seeking blessings of the great saint. The Urs will continue till November 12.

The premises and surrounding areas have been filled with smell of perfumes and a variety of flowers that are being offered at Dargah of Tajuddin Baba Auliya out of veneration. Beating of drums by different Sandal bands adding an aura that could be listened and seen could be believed.

The Secretary of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Trust Iqbal Velchi said that the visiting devotees are being extended all possible facilities. Water for drinking and other purposes is being provided sufficiently.

Similarly, the devotees are being accommodated in sarais (dharamshalas) situated nearby the shrine and are being looked after religiously. Food is being served on regular basis and it is being ensured that no inconvenience is caused the visiting devotees.

Grand Shahi Sandal on November 9:
On the occasion ‘Chhabbisvi’ the grand Darbari Shahi Sandal will be taken out at 10 am on Monday (November 9) from Tajbagh Trust Office and after crisscrossing Nagpur areas, will return back to Tajbagh at 6 in the evening.

Thereafter, Chaddar and Sandal will be offered at Majaar-e-Pak. On this day, numerous Sandals from various parts of the country too arrive at Tajbagh to pay their reverence to Tajuddin Baba Auliya. In the night at 9, a Kawwali programme and milad event will be organized.
