Going a step ahead to take extra prevention for not getting caught, some unidentified thieves broke into a jewellery shop off Manewada road here and decamped with valuables and plucked off DVR machine of CCTV cameras installed in the showroom. Ajni police have been on its toes to get the hint of the miscreants.
A theft of valuables worth Rs 1 lakh has been reported, however the cops were clueless about the incident as the thieves consciously unwired the machine recording the footages from the CCTV cameras and took it along.

The shop owner Vivek Chitreev who runs Shobha Jewellers on busy Manewada road had kept the banner of his shop opposite his establishment. The thieves holed through the wall behind this banner and created a dent through the shop.
A huge locker was also kept in the shop, which the thieves tried hard to open but could not succeed. All the cash and more valuables were reportedly put in the locker.
Ajni police has launched hunt for the thieves.
