Nagpur News : Thieves laid their hands on the two houses in the same areas and collectively looted Rs 1.34 lakh from Shesh Nagar under the jurisdiction of Nandanvan police station. The thefts took place between 12.30 pm and 4.15 pm on Thursday.
According to information, Kishor Prabhakarrao Vindane (42), a resident of Plot No. 7/B, behind Swami Vivekanand School, left the house with his family to attend a programme. Unidentified thieves broke open the lock and entered the house. They stole Rs 20,000 cash and gold ornaments collectively worth Rs .06 lakh.
Similarly, another theft took place in the same area at the residence of Suwarna Sunil Choudhary at Plot No. 45, Shesh Nagar. Thieves looted Rs 28,000 cash from the bedroom kept in a steel almirah.
On the basis of the complaint by Kishor, Nandanvan police have registered an offence under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC.
