Nagpur: Unidentified thieves decamped with booty worth Rs 1.40 lakh under the jurisdiction of Ajni Police station on Monday.

According to reports, Babakant Jivtode (52), a resident of Maa Renuka Vihar, Shatabdi Nagar Square, went to out of town to attend a function along with his family on Monday. Meanwhile, some unidentified thieves broke open the door lock and barged into the house. The thieves looted cash Rs 19,000 with gold ornaments worth Rs 1.40 lakh collectively. Babakant discovered the theft only after reaching house in the evening.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by Babakant, Ajni police have registered a case against the unidentified youths.
