Thieves burgle two houses in Hudkeshwar, Nandanvan

Nagpur: Two houses were burgled in city under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar and Nandanvan police station areas. In the first case, gold ornaments and cash collectivelly worth Rs 1.06 lakh was stolen from a house in Hudkeshwar police station area.

According to police, Balwant Champatrao Choudhary, a resident of Plot No. 23,Vitthal Nagar, had gone to Narkhed on Sunday. The theft came to light on Monday when he returned from the village.

The thief entered the house after breaking open latch of front door and walked away with gold ornaments and cash kept in an almirah.

An offence under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code. In yet another case, unidentified thieves decamped with gold ornaments of Rs one lakh from a house in Nandanvan area.

A police official said that the theft took place between Saturday and Monday when Sangita Devrao Kelwade (46), a resident of Plot No. 87, Sankalp Nagar, had gone to Bhadravati, police said.

An offence under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code was registered by Nandanvan police.
