Theft of ₹1.21 Lakh Equipment from BSNL Tower in Kamptee; Case Registered

Nagpur: The New Kamptee Police Station have registered a theft case after equipment worth over ₹1.21 lakh was stolen from a BSNL tower site on Kanhan Road in Kamptee.

According to police, complainant Mohsin Khan Liaqat Ali Khan (41), a power technician working through an agency for a Pune-based company, discovered the theft during a routine inspection of the BSNL tower installed at the Camel Factory premises in Kamptee.

The theft is believed to have occurred between 11.22 am on February 12 and 12 noon on February 13. Unknown miscreants allegedly stole nine U-racks, system modules, and power cables collectively valued at ₹1,21,617.

Based on the complaint, a case has been registered under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against unidentified accused. Police have launched a search operation and further investigation is underway.
