Theft of gold, cash worth Rs 1.50 lakh in separate cases

Nagpur News : Thieves stole cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.50 lakh from Gittikhadan and Yashodhara Nagar areas on Friday.

In the first incident, unidentified thieves stole cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 75,000 under jurisdiction of Gittikhadan Police Station. According to police, Geeta Sureshrao Patre (42), a resident of Plot No. 137, CPWD Quarter Type 3, Seminary Hills, was out for some work. When she came back, he found broken lock of her house. She rushed inside and found that her gold ornaments worth Rs 75,000 were missing from the almirah. She immediately informed the police.

On her complaint, Gittikhadan Police have registered an offence of theft against the unidentified thieves under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC.

PI Chakshupal Bahadure informed that PSI Shewale is investigating the case.

In another incident, unidentified thieves looted cash of Rs 22,000 and gold ornaments collectively worth Rs 75,000. According to information, Arvind Kumar Dwarika Singh (46), Plot No. 10, shivkrupa Nagar, behind Yashodhara lawn was out of station for few days. Thieves broke open the lock and gained entry in the house. They stole cash of Rs 22,000 and gold ornaments from the almirah, collectively Rs 75,000. Arvind discovered the theft when he came back.

On his complaint, Yashodhara Nagar Police registered an offence under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of the IPC.
