The child’s play of chain-snatching makes three women poorer by Rs 2,13,000

Nagpur News: The children’s play of chain-snatching or a terror by criminals was again, again, and again was witnessed in Nagpur city when three women became the victims in no full stopping incidents leaving the citizens totally helpless.

HUSBAND-WIFE: According to reports, the first incident occurred near NEERI Colony. The victim Vaishali, along with husband Shyam Mohril, resident of Surendra Nagar, was retrning home after distributing wedding invitation cards of their daughter on their Kinetic Honda (MH-31/AB 6926). When they reached near NEERI Colony, two black motorcycle borne youths suddenly came from behind and slapped Vaishali and snatched the “Mangalsutra” worth Rs 65,000. The Mohril couple, even before sensing any trouble, the youths speeded away from the spot.

Both Vaishali and Shyam Mohril approached Dhantoli Police Station and lodged a complaint with them. Dhantoli police have registered an offence and are looking for the two accused youths.

SANS-BAHU (MOTHER-IN-LAW AND SISTER-IN-LAW): In the second incident, the victim Rekha Madan Choube (65), resident of Friends Colony, Deendayal Nagar, along with her “Bahu”, had gone to Dharampeth for shopping. After the shopping, they started for their home on Activa (MH-31/CX 0698). And they reached, too. But when Rekha started walking to open the gate of their house, two Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle-borne youths sweeftly relieved her of “Mangalsutra” worth Rs 50,000. Possibly, the criminals were chasing them from Dharampeth itself. But incident proved: So far yet so near for Rekha. After the incident, Rekha and her “Bahu” reached the far, and, near too, Pratap Nagar Police Station and lodged a complaint. The police, too, have registered an offence and are searching for the accused youths.

MOTHER-DAUGHTER: In the third incident, the victim, Indira Prabhuji Chimurkar (33), resident of Plot No 13, in front of Jaibhole Nagar, Kalamna, was in her house with daughter Shravani (8). Suddenly, three youths, in a well-planned operation, entered Indira’s house forcibly and threw chili powder in the eyes of Indira. They also whipped out a knife and threatened to kill both Indira and Shravani if they shouted for help. The goons then bound them with a nylon rope, put sticking tapes on their mouths, and then coolly grabbed 65-gram gold ornaments, 100-gram silver ornaments and a cash of Rs 5,000 collectively worth Rs 1,38,000 and fled the spot leaving Indira and her daughter Shravani in a dreadful situation. However, anyhow they got freed themselves and shouted for help but in vain.

 

Kalamna police registered an offence after Indira Lodged a complaint with them. Police are searching for the three accused goons.
