‘Thagi’ in lakhs of rupees in the name of sports-car

Nagpur: The Sitabuldi police station has registered a case of ‘Thagi’ (cheating) under its jurisdiction on July 2, 2015. The accused in the case are named as Narayan P V and Narendra Patel, both directors of Samco Automobiles Pvt Ltd.

According to police, Jaydeo Panchmatiya, resident of Karodpati Gali, Civil Lines, here in the city, had paid Rs 27,73,000 cash to the accused in installments during November 2014 and July 2, 2015 for the purchase of a sports car. As the car was not delivered to him, Panchmatiya lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi police station on July 2. The police, having registered a case of ‘Thagi’ against both the accused, is further investigating the case.
