Nagpur: Team Advocate Nagpur emerged triumphant in the Maharashtra Advocate Cricket Tournament “Advocate Premier League” organised by Pune Bar Association from December 21 to 30 at Pune.
In the final, Pune Bar won the toss and elected to bat. Pune scored only 132 runs in 20 overs. Captain Amit Ganpule scored 23 runs and Vishal Jadhao scored 34 runs. For Nagpur, Adv. Shahid Syyad took 3 wickets and Sanket Aasre, Ashish Gavande and Yatarth Singh 2 wickets each.
Nagpur Advocate XI scored 132 by losing 8 wickets. Shailesh Gore 22 runs, Praful Dangre 34, Ashish Gavande 23, Sanket Aasre 18 runs while Adv Sudeep Jaiswal scored 10 runs. He hit a boundary on the last ball and won the match. For Pune, Amit Ganpule took 2 wickets while Vishal Jadhao and Prasun Barshikar claimed 3 wickets each.
Ashish Gavande was declared Best Batsman who scored 398 runs in 8 matches while Best Bowler was Adv. Sudeep Jaiswal who scalped 22 wickets in the tournament.
Praful Dangre scored 315 runs, Sanket Aasre 170 runs and 16 wickets in the tournament.
Nagpur Advocate XI beat Bhivandi, Panvel, Khalapur, Yavatmal, Thane A, Legal Eagle Thane, and Pune for winning the trophy.
