Teachers from all over Maharashtra to take out massive rally on Dec 11

Nagpur.

Aggrieved by the various problems faced by the State Primary and Higher Secondary School Teachers and the lackadaisical attitude of the Government towards them, various Teachers’ Organizations and Teachers’ fraternity will be taking out a huge agitation rally on December 11, 2014 to seek State government’s intervention on their demands. The rally will begin from Yeshwant Stadium and conclude at Vidhan Bhavan.

Regional President of Nationalist Teachers’ Association Vikram Kale informed that the demands include removal of the word ‘Permanent’ from Permanent Unaided Schools and adjustment of the salary for the excess 30000 teachers, Approval of the posts according to Chiplunkar Committee and Implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission’s recommendations. Teachers from all over the State are said to be participating in the rally.
