Nagpur: A teacher in Kamptee near Nagpur fell prey into a woman’s honeytrap. Rs 7 lakh were extorted by the woman and her accomplices from the teacher with threats of defaming him.

According to police, the victim, a 40-year-old teacher, fell prey to the fraud by accused woman Parveen, who initially approached the teacher under the guise of seeking financial assistance. Parveen’s attempts to establish proximity with the teacher escalated when she needed a loan from a bank and coincidentally crossed paths with the teacher on multiple occasions, said police.

Parveen developed a relationship with the teacher and even extended her influence to his wife by fabricating a need for urgent financial aid under the pretext of medical expenses.
