Tawde inaugurates ‘Seekho Aur Kamao’ project

The Education Minister Vinod Tawde on Friday inaugurated the ‘Seekho Aur Kamao’, a project floated by Central India Group of Institutions under the aegis of Mehmuda Sinam and Mahila Gramin Vikas Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha. Mehmuda Sinam and Mahilla Gramin Vikas Bahu-uddeshiya Sanstha, Maharashtra Nagpur has been selected as a center under Learn and Earn (Seekho aur Kamao) under Ministry of Minority, Government of India, and New Delhi.

The Sanstha has been selected to train total 1,000 students, out of which 700 students are from Maharashtra and 300 from Karnataka. The selected students belong to Minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Jain, Sikh, and Nav Buddhists, Parsis) and more than 50% of their students comprise of girl students.

Dignitaries present on the dais with the Minister were Sameer Meghe MLA, Anil Sole MLC, NMC Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, RO DTE Nagpur Region Gulabrao Thakre. Vinod Tawde in his address emphasised on the need of skill and knowledge to be inculcated in every student. After his speech ,Vinod Tawde then officially inaugurated ‘Seekho aur Kamao’ Programme by unveiling the Scroll.

In the Programme, free coaching and Allied Scheme for Minority Students for the current session was also unveiled. Iqra Khan and Mohammed Babar compered the programme and Dr Yasmeen Siddiqui proposed a voted of thanks.
