Nagpur: In a series of well happening developments for Rastrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is all set to sign memorandum of understading (MoU) to start skill-based courses for the students of the Nagpur University.
The skilled based courses will be for the traditional course stream. A meeting and thorough discussion were held between vice chancellor of RTMNU and the TCS officials on Monday.
A meeting in pursuance of ‘Skill India Mission’ to impart skilled based courses to students of Vidarbha was held under the chairmanship of divisional commissioner Anoop Kumar on Monday. Students in huge number take admmissions and study in the traditional courses of the Nagpur University. However, due lack of employability skills, many students are left out of the job opportunities.

To address this aspect, RTMNU held discussions with the TCS officials. Dr Kane proposed for starting a skill based course in the university. He suggested a certificate skill based course along with traditional syllabus . This course can be of two hours to be held thrice in a week.
