Take steps to increase strength at schools: Gopal Bohare

Nagpur: “All types of facilities are provided to NMC-run schools, yet the strength of students in schools is not increasing. Therefore, all headmasters, teachers and school inspectors concerned must think over the problem and take suitable steps to increase the strength of students,” said NMC’s special education committee chairman Gopal Bohare while presiding over the review-meeting in this regard.

The meeting was held at Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Standing Committee Hall of NMC in the presence of Ruling Party leader Daya Shankar Tiwari, vice-chairman Divya Ghurde, member Sarita Kawre, Sangeeta Girhe, Vidya Kanhere, education officer Ashok Talatule, assistant education officer Meena Gupta, Kusum Chaflekar, superintendent Rekha Shukla, school inspectors Subhash Lade, Dhanraj Dabhekar, Sanjay Dighore, Kazi Mujahiduddin, Priti Bandewar, Seema Khobragade, Maya Pajai, coordinator Sudhir Koramkar, sarva shiksha abhiyan coordinator Sandhya Pawar and others.

At the outset, education officer Ashok Talatule welcomes the newly elected education committee chairman Gopal Bohare and Ruling Party leader Dayashankar Tiwari and handed them ‘Tulsi’ sappling as a goodwill gesture.

The meeting discussed the problem of low admissions and various other related zone-wise issues in detail. Bohare directed the school officials and teachers to take suitable measures. It was also decided that one education committee member would be deputed at each zone for supervision. It was stressed that the students in NMC schools should be given quality meal and their health check up should be regularized.
