Nagpur: T. N Jha has been selected as Director (Technical) of Western Coalfields Limited during the interview conducted by Public Enterprise Selection Board on 11 Jan, 2016 in New Delhi. Presently Jha is working as General Manager of Umrer Area of WCL.
Jha has Graduated in Mining Engineering and persuaded M. Tech in Industrial Engineering Management from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad with distinction. He has also passed first class Mine Managers certificate of DGMS. Jha started his career with BCCL and has worked in various Areas in various important capacities of WCL.
Jha is well known for innovations in mining industry and has presented two popular research papers, which were published in Minetech journal of CMPDI and CMTM journal of IICM, Ranchi, for which he was awarded with gold medal by MGMI, Kolkata. He has demonstrated his extraordinary acumen with respect to production, OB removal, land acquisition and opening of new projects in WCL.
