Nagpur News : Suspecting fidelity of wife, a middle-aged man tried to kill her by setting her ablaze under the jurisdiction of Jaripatka police station. Police said, the incidence took place on Sunday and case was registered after the police were able to take the statement of the victim.
According to information, the victim Anu Bodele (38) was married to Rahul Indal Bodele (40), a resident of Shraddha Apartment, Bhim Chowk. Rahul suspected the character of his wife and thus in a fit of rage, he poured kerosene on her and attempted to kill her on the intervening night of Sunday andMonday. Nearby residents saw the smoke coming from the house and rushed her to discover the burning Anu. They immediately took her Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment after extinguishing the fire. On the basis of the statement given by Anu, Jaripatka police registered a case of attempt to murder against her husband under Section 307 of the IPC.
Though the accused is still at large, Jaripatka police have assured to nab the accused at the earliest. Further investigations are under way.
