Having been in the live-in relationship for over 5 years, the young heartthrob of Bollywood Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande reportedly took marital vows in Ujjain, a religious downtown in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Sources said that Ankita and Sushant walked the aisles after repeated family pressure. However they had decided to keep their wedding secret in view of taming their respective careers. But it came out eventually.
According to a report published in a leading newspaper, a source from Ankita’s hometown Indore said that when Ankita informed her family of her decision to live-in with Sushant, they were infuriated and refused to give her permission. They later insisted that the couple get married soon.
The sources further added that Ankita and Sushant got married in Ujjain and later moved in together in Mumbai.
The actor, who rose to fame with his performance in ‘Kai Po Che’ and ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, will be seen in Shekhar Kapur’s ‘Paani’, Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘P.K.’ with Aamir Khan and ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’.
Sushant Singh had proposed to Ankita Lokhande on reality dance show, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. The couple had met on the sets of television show ‘Pavitra Rishta’.
