Supporting State Govt’s call; VTA plants 500 saplings

The State Government has decided to increase Maharashtra’s green cover by planting 2 crore saplings on July 1 across the state as the green cover in Maharashtra as present is only 20% against the required 33.5%.

Mayor Pravin Datke and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) had requested city’s NGOs to participate in tree plantation drive by planting as many as saplings possible.

Supporting this cause, Vidarbha Taxpayers Association (VTA) led by its president J. P. Sharma planted 500 saplings in J. P. Park, Hingana wherein Sharma urged citizens to participate in this noble cause which will be a major help in curbing global warming and make our environment friendlier.

Also present in the plantation drive from VTA were Tejinder Singh Renu – secretary, Joint Secretaries – Hemant Trivedi & Pravin M. Agrawal, Executive Body Members and Amarjeet Singh Chawla, Ashwin Agrawal, Rohit Kanoongo, CA Hemant Sarda, Sharad Sonkule, CA Ankush Dewani & Hemant Sharma.
