Sunil Mishra sent to police custody in fraud case

Nagpur : Sunil Mishra, chairman of Mass Communication Board of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has been remanded to PCR till 1 July in a fraud case. Mishra was arrested by Ganeshpeth police on Wednesday night in a case filed by a student of Central India Institute of Mass Communication and Fashion Technology student.

The complainant, Ashwini Rangari, in her complaint mentioned that Mishra took examination fees from around 300 students, who had taken admission in CIIMC.

However, classes were conducted in the college and therefore the University didn’t allow the students to appear in the 2017-18 examinations. Mishra has allegedly collected the fees and original documents of all the student but he failed to submit it to the University. This was alleged by more students of the batch.

Acting on the complaint, Ganeshpeth police booked the case under relevant sections of the IPC and arrested Sunil Mishra on Wednesday night. He was presented in the court on Thursday and was remanded to police custody remand till 1 July.
