Here comes the Sunday… It’s that time of week when your senses relax and mood elevates for some special activity to ease your nerve. In the city which is going crowded with growing populace, finding options of your choice to spend Sundays may be equally difficult and easy at the same time…Surprised…!!! Yes… while there may be plenty of things to do on Sunday, it becomes a bit taxing to decide on what finally you are going to do with this day.
Nagpur Today does a quick check for you to pick up the best of the alternatives you can try out this season on Sunday.
Shopping @ Discounted Showrooms
Come monsoon and the city newspapers are flooded with sale advertisements offering flat discounts on the offerings. And, we bet this is the best time to buy in order to spruce up your wardrobes for the current season and upcoming festivals. So be it apparels, foot wears or the crazy shopping stuff to do up your sweet homes, this is the time to move out and bring in the goodies to grace the season. Take your elders along and believe me…your fun will just double up as the kids will be busy with their grand pas or grand moms. Check out the showrooms, small outlets and even malls if you are shopping kind.
Movies @ Multiplex
If you are movie buff then this is the best one for you. As of now, Ek Villain remains the watchable stuff if you have still not seen it. Among the new releases this week, Bobby Jasoos managed to garner little appreciation while Lekar Hum Deewana Dil received thumbs down from the critics and movie lovers of Nagpur alike. Even you can watch Tranformers : Age of Extinction, if you love Hollywood action. While the single screen may offer you just a dose of entertainment, it will be still better option if you are planning to watch only movie today. However the movie viewing is often extending to shopping. So if you want to club entertainment with leisure then dropping with your family at multiplex will remain a tried and tested option.
Smoking Bhutta @ VNIT Square
In this cloudy and cool weather, when the temperature is certainly not an issue, having a bite at VNIT Square bhutta joint would certainly add leisure to your mood. Hot smoking bhuttas are certainly the pick of the season. And what if you try some chutney spread over your tempting bhutta. Whether you love sweet corn or plain grain, this one will certainly lift your mood. Believe me… spending a good one hour or two at these thelas lined up around VNIT square are the best place to hang out if you are young at heart (age no bar!) or even not so young. While this will make up for a different outing, if will also let you and your family experience a deviation from routine.
Sunday Brunch @ Eatouts
While the upscale hotels like Sun n Sand, Centre Point, Tuli Imperial, Pride Hotel and Radisson Blu offers delightful lunch on Sundays, many other restaurants like Fionaa, Mustard have their own special Sunday menu. But if you like to experience a bit raw then there are various other options. How about trying street food? Almost every part of the city has this unofficially designated stretch where you can satiate your taste buds with some richly spiced bhel puris, chaat and paani puris…But remember to go for extra work out the next day, if you are flab conscious.
Leisure @ Lake View
While there is nothing which you don’t know about the serene lakesides of Nagpur, still you can make your visit special whenever you hit at Telangkhedi, commonly called Futala Lake or Ambazari lake. Walking up to the pavement of Futala will spring you up with fresh gust of winds. While evenings are delight at Futala, sunset is must watch at Ambazari lake. So experience something different by the lake side this Sunday.
Night Delight @ Mominpura
The ongoing month of Ramzan have thrown open a plethora of late night food options before the taste loving lot of Nagpur. So even if you plan for dinner during extended night hours, this is the place for you. The sweet temptations are the must try at this place, particularly during this part of the month when the hotel owners and small joints have come up with pure sweet delight for Iftars – meals Muslims take to break their day long roja (fast). And what if you love non-veg food…you are certainly at the right place. So give your favorite Saoji mutton a little break and try some festive delights at Mominpura.
Have ball @ Your Home !!!
If your spouse has no problem with you watching FIFA World Cup football match which has just reached an exciting level, then there is nothing sportive than this idea. Just relax, have a cool sip (of the drink or juice, whatever you prefer) and healthy munch with the visual delight of watching football in the comfort of your home. Club your partner also in your leisure. Try to develop the flavor of football spontaneity in them in order to generate their interest. This will evenly recharge your body for the next day.
So …Go Guys…Have your ball, indoor or outdoor…Enjoy!!!
