LBT: NMC raids 6 godowns of Suman Marble House

Nagpur News: Under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Shyam Wardhane and Additional Dy. Municipal Commissioner Pramod Bhusari , LBT department lead by Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Dhamecha, LBT officers Yaday Jambhulakar, Rajesh Meshram and LBT Inspectors Sumer Gajbhiye, Dilip Mate, Sanjay. mendule, Vilas Chahande raided 6 godowns of M/ Suman Marble House at Gangabai Ghat Chowk.

The dealer while submitting LBT registration form had not disclosed any of these godowns which is mandatory to be printed on the Registration certificate, and thus tried to hide these places of his business. The Suman Marble house is registered in the name of Karnidan Ganpatram Pawar.

Chunnilal Pawar was present during the search drive, who initially tried to hide the locations of some of his godowns. In addition it was observed that the bills issued by him does not bear LBT registration number which is mandatory as per Rule 22 of LBT. As per the search made at all the godowns more than 35000 boxes of tiles were observed MRP valuation of which is anticipated to be more than Rs. 1.00 CRORE. however LBT paid by the dealer is merely Rs 1.30 Lacs, the modus operendi being trying to hide the godowns itself by not disclosing in registration form. It was further observed that the dealer had destroyed the delivery memos to hide the actual quantities of the sale.

All the goods were Siezed by LBT department till further detail investigation which would take 2-3 days time, to compare the actual goods with respect to the bills available.

LBT department further continued the assessment of goods of Laxminarayan Agrawal, near Kutchhi Visa Bhawan, which were raided on Saturday, which was carried out by LBT Inspectors Ulhas Motghare, Shri Giri, Ambadkar, Chetnani and Wanikar.
