Subhash Ghai’s ‘Kaanchi’ set to capture Box Office


Legendary Bollywood Director and showman Subhash Ghai is all set to capture the box office yet again with his latest film ‘Kaanchi’. Starring the stunning Mishti who is being launched with this movie and Kartik Aaryan, Kaanchi is all set to hit over 1500 screens across India on 25 April 2014.
Produced by Mukta Arts Ltd, the film is scheduled to hit the silver screen on 25th April 2014. Legendary musicians like Ismail Darbar, Salim–Sulaiman and Subhash Ghai himself have given music for the movie. The lyrics for the movie have been penned down by Irshad Kamil. ‘Kaanchi’ is the story of an innocent rural beauty and her fight against power. Introducing Mishti as Kaanchi, the movie features Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Kartik Aaryan, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Rishabh Sinha in pivotal roles.
Commenting on the film Subash Ghai said, “Kaanchi to me is a project that is larger than life itself, the film, though commercial, is an Inspirational story for young women of today. In my brand of cinema, happiness, sadness, action, drama, music, everything should be together while telling a complete story. This film has everything that our audience, classes or masses, desire. I have made this film with a lot of passion.”
Kaanchi is a story of an 18 year old girl, an earthy beauty and talent from Uttaranchal, is extremely happy in her small world comprising her family, her friends and her mentor Binda, a Martial Arts Trainer who also protects his valleys from big sharks of cities. Kaanchi empowers herself with the teachings of her Binda and takes up a mission to destroy this big money and power nexus who rule the country. Following which the movie revolves on how Kaanchi takes her revenge, but the movie unfolds in a fashion which has never been told before.
