Nagpur: The state government has decided to adjust students of nearly 5,002 schools having less than 10 students so that they are not deprived of education. A survey report has been prepared of schools in the state, which have less number of students. In these 5002 schools the number students is from 0 to 10. The primary or middle schools will not be close down but the students and teachers will be adjusted in the nearby schools, informed Education Minister Vinod Tawade. He was addressing a press conference.
He further said that keeping in view the standard and education they won’t be loser as standard of education is important. The teachers will not face problem of job or transfer. There are many schools which are in the remote or hilly areas and the number of students is zero and are still running.
Tawde informed that out of the 5002 schools 4,353 schools are of Zilla Parishad (ZP). In ZP schools there are 8.072 teachers. Private aided schools are 69 and there are 220 teachers. There are 4.222 schools where the students range from 0 to 10 in number. In these schools there are 28.412 students studying. The remaining 580 schools are tribal, non-aided with full social justice. Here 2.097 school students can be adjusted. But for these students will have to be provided transportation.
According to survey 909 schools cannot be shifted. And so these cannot be closed. The number of students is will be on decline in the schools having poor standard. The school education department does not want the students to suffer loss of education so decision has been taken to adjust the students in better schools. In the first phase the students from 1,314 school will be adjusted informed Education Minister.
