Catching up with the extended cold season this year is the exam time for board students who are busy winding up their revisions. However the scene is little different this year as the competitive exams are also lined up till May which will make them soaked up in their preparation schedule till the summer reaches its peak. Starting February 9 is ICSE board exams. The board exams will be over by April 1.

After the board exams, the competitive tests season kicks in and the first one off the block will be JEE (Main) with its offline version. From April 10-11 the online version will be held in different slots. The state is conducting its MH-CET on May 7 after opting out of AIPMT. The latter will still be held on May 3.

CBSE and ICSE board results are announced more or less in the same week, usually the third week of May. Last year, all results (Std X and XII) of these two boards were declared between May 20-25.

The JEE (Advanced) will be held on May 24 and will be applicable only to students who qualify in the JEE (Main). The JEE (Advanced) will end the heavy exam season for 2015, a month after which the school academic session will begin. All boards start their helplines for counselling students during the entire exam season.
