Nagpur: Two persons, including a Star Bus driver, have been booked on the charges of molestation. Shockingly, a 50-year old woman was among the molested.
In the first incident, the accused driver of Star Bus (MH-31/CA 5203), while running the bus on Akashwani-Vidhan Bhavan Road, recklessly zoomed past the 50-year old woman riding her Scooty Pep. When the bus halted at a stop on the same road, the scared but angry woman approached the unidentified Star Bus driver and questioned him for the irresponsible driving. However, instead of apologizing the woman, the accused driver not only abused her in filthy language but caught hold of her hair and thrashed her.
Sadar API Sawant, acting on the complaint lodged by the woman, booked the unidentified accused Star Bus driver under Sections 354, 323, 504 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
In another incident, the accused Yahswant Baldau Shahu, resident of Bhim Nagar, Nagpur frequently harassed a 27-year old woman by seeking sexual pleasure with her. Moreover, the accused Yashwant audaciously entered the woman’s house in MIDC area and indulged in vulgar actions.
MIDC PSI Kale, based on a complaint of the woman, booked the accused Yashwant Shahu under Sections 452, 354(A)(D) of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
