Stall of city-based Zero Systems draws attraction at India International Trade Fair

Nagpur: The stall of Nagpur-based Zero Systems, an entrepreneur run by women, manufacturing LED lights, has been drawing attraction of national and international visitors to the India International Trade Fair (IITF) in Delhi.

The 38th edition of the India International Trade Fair, organised by Unio Commerce and Industry ministries, kicked off for the general public on Sunday. With the central concept “Industries in rural India,” several states in India and foreign industrialist have set up stalls in the fair. The stalls of ‘Maharashtra’s rural industries’ set up through Maharshtra Small Scale Industries Limited have been depicting outstanding progress in industry sector. 14 stalls have been set up in this section and the stall of Nagpur-based Zero Systems at the entrance is turning out to be a special attraction.

The stall is depicting models, images of domestic and commercial down lights, studio lights, 2X2, flood lights, street lights, well glass and confine space lights. The Managing Director of the industrial group Rashmi Gupta says, “My mother-in-law Suhas Kulkarni set up this industry in Narendra Nagar locality of Nagpur in 1983. The industry is entirely owned by women and the strength of the unit is 80 percent women technicians, officials and employees.

All these women have completed their education with engineering Degree, Diploma and ITI training in electronics. Special care is taken for safety and security of these women. Safety tools have been installed in production section and the working timing has been fixed at morning 9 to evening 6. The timing is maintained at any cost,” Rashmi asserted.

We are manufacturing all our offerings with utmost care as per the industry defined norms and standards. Our offered products are highly demanded by the various domestic, business and industrial fields. Additionally, we are offering Lighting Design Services to our valued clients. These products are highly admired for long service life, beautiful design and perfect brightness,” Rashmi stated.

The designs of lights and the technology needed for production have been developed by women in the industry themselves. The raw material for manufacture of lights is imported from Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Gujarat. The company has its own machinery having designing, assembling, testing, production and supply departments. It has its own independent godown. Light from range of 14 watts to 1000 watts capacity are produced in the company and supplied to all districts in Vidarbha as well as Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

The Zero Systems Group of Industry bagged the second prize of best women industry at the international level ‘Magnetic Maharashtra’ expo organised last year at Mumbai by Maharashtra Government.
