    Speeding truck knocks man dead in Kalamna

    Nagpur: A rashly driven truck knocked a middle aged man to death in Kalamna area here on Friday noon. The driver of the killer vehicle has been arrested.

    The deceased Chandrakant Harjivan Pathak (55), resident of Raghuvanshi Nagar, Kalamna Road, was going on his two-wheeler (MH-49/AE 2355). As he was nearing Kangaroo Kids School, the recklessly driven truck (CG-10/D 8864) rammed his two-wheeler with full speed. As a result, Chandrakant was hurled in the air and crashed on the road with an impact. He received grievous injuries and died on the spot. Cops from Kalamna Police Station reached the spot on being informed and sent body of Chandrakant to Mayo Hospital for post-mortem.

    PSI Analdas booked the driver of the truck Dinesh Babulal Paswan (32), native of District Sonkad, Chhattisgarh under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC and placed him under arrest.
