Speeding Audi Car keeps police on alert; Cops rounds up vehicle in filmi style chase!

An Audi Car speeding mysteriously through the city streets baffled the cops across three police stations which remained on alert to catch the vehicle. The abruptly moving vehicle, which broke two barricades, kept under various police stations area and injured two policemen led the cops to suspect that the vehicle was driven by terrorists or some anti-social elements. Even the higher police authorities raised alarm and alerted cops at all the police stations. Later three trucks were used to block the road at Manewada Square leading the car to screeching halt. It turned out that two of the passengers in the car were the guests who had visited the city to attend a marriage ceremony at Kadbi Square here. The driver and another accused hails from Nagpur.

Police have arrested driver Amarinder Singh Thatte, 34, Bhoslewadi, Lashkaribagh, Uttarsingh Mahendrasingh, 34 resident of Kisangarh, Kurukshetra, Haryana, Jasbir

Singh Hardeep Singh, 42, Ballarpur, Patiala in Punjab, and Gurudeep Singh Mahendra Singh, 42, Lashkaribagh, Panchpaoli.

Police sources informed that all the four accused started from the marriage venue at Kadbi square. Their Audi car (JH-20 B 5757) first rammed into the police barricades under Panchpaoli. When they sped away after the incident, Gittikhadan police chased them. The car then entered Kalamna police station area which has been put on alert along with Hudkeshwar police. The policemen from Kalamna police station had already blocked the road with barricades. But the car did not stop there even, and the driver zoomed past the blockade, breaking the barricades and dashing police vehicle. Two policemen – Sanjay Bangalkar and Sheshrao Raut were also injured in the incident. The vehicle then entered Hudkeshwar police station. As the car approached Manewada square the more alert cops had blocked the entire road with three trucks. Eventually the car had to be stopped.

As Hudkeshwar police approached the vehicle they found only driver Amarinder Singh Thatte in the car. It turned out that he had dropped the remaining three passengers somewhere in the middle and then moved ahead.

Hudkeshwar police station incharge R Pawar informed that all the four have been arrested on charges of disturbing the government functioning and destroying the property.
