The NMC Commissioner Shyam Wardhane has directed all the concerned authorities to speed up and complete the work of Ramjhula Over Bridge on time. Wardhane, along with other NMC officials, Police and MSRDC officials inspected the progress of the work by visiting the site personally. He directed the officials to sort out difficulties in construction of Ramjhula so that work of the Over Bridge could be completed on time.
The ramps of Ramjhula, being constructed from Mayo Hospital to Jai Stambh near Railway Station, have been ready. The work of link road between Santra Market and Kadbi Square on Kamptee Road is in progress and the affected traffic will be bypassed by the side of Santra Market Khowa Bazaar. For broadening the bypass, the encroachments in the nearby areas would be removed so that traffic could be diverted to the bypass under the Over Bridge. Those who accompanied the NMC Commissioner during inspection of Ramjhula work include NMC’s Superintending Engineer Prakash Urade, City Engineer Sanjay Gaekwad, Estate Officer and Sub-Divisional Engineer D D Jambhulkar, Dhantoli Zone Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Morone, MSRDC Executive Engineer Samay Nikose, Traffic Police Inspector Dagubhai Sheikh, Offcons Company’s Project In-charge Arun Kumar, Manager Sai Prasad and others.
