Nagpur/Mumbai: The date of special session of State Legislature being convened to pass Goods and Service Tax (GST) Bill has been changed. Earlier, the special session was to be held on May 17 but now it will be held on May 20, 21 and 22. The decision was taken in the State Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said.
The change of date seems to have been on the demand of Shiv Sena. The party has demanded a 3-day special session specifically for farmers. Commenting on the Sena demand, Mungantiwar said, “Why only three days, State Government is ready to hold special session for 30 days when it comes to interests of farmers.”
