Nagpur News : The first such incidence is reported from Sakkardara/Kotwali police station jurisdiction. MH 49/K/8873 from Nandanvan to Tiranga square for purchasing vegetables when in front of a cycle repairs shop in Nehrunagar she was intercepted by an unknown youth on black coloured bike. The youth snatched her mangalsutra valued at Rs 20,000/
On the report of the complainant, police inspector, Shete of Sakkardara police station has registered offence under section 392 of IPC against the chain snatcher.
In yet another case, on the same day, Vinita Navin Bothara, 28, a resident of, Flat no. 306, Sukhsagar Building, Wardhamannagar, was looted. She was going by her Activa scooter, MH 31/DY/1335; when a youth in age group of 20-25 snatched her gold chain valued at Rs 48,000/ beside Saini Travels.
On the report of the complainant, police sub-inspector, Tiwari of Kotwali police station has registered offence under section 392 of IPC.
