Sonam Kapoor is currently serving as the dartboard for people whom she calls ‘judgmental a**holes’. If you’re missing out on the Twitter-shattering goss of the day, here’s what happened.

So Sonam Kapoor took to Twitter to share her views on the recent Meat Ban ordered in Maharashtra by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMS). The diktat runs: Meat has been banned in the state of Maharashtra during Paryushana, the Jain fasting period. Hence, from September 11 to 18, no meat will be sold in the state.

Now, the latest ban in the country has irked numerous people, including actor Sonam Kapoor. A tweet from Sonam read, “Our country is going to remain a 3rd world nation because of the intolerant misogynistic close minded few.”:

Once her tweet was out there, trolls from all over the social networking platform united to call her a ‘bimbo’, who equated meat ban with misogyny. Following which, Sonam lashed out. In addition to a lot of other things, Kapoor called her trolls ‘judgmental a**holes’ too.

“Before being judgmental a**holes. What I said was a critique of the general mentality .. Which is not exclusive to the banning of meat. (sic),” read the fashionista’s tweet.

And once she had ostensibly vent her spleen out, the diva announced it was better for her to go back to talking fashion and brands:

This is among Sonam’s rare brushes with Twitter trolls. And as far as her films are concerned, the actor is currently busy with the biopic of Neerja Bhanot and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, in which she’ll be seen alongside Salman Khan.
